It may not look as beautiful as other baby animals, but the first photo of a newborn great white shark is very important from a scientific point of view.

Needless to say, the mere sight of a great white shark strikes fear into people's hearts.

But surprisingly, no photo of her new-born child could be taken till date.

Considered as a symbol of terror in the seas, these fishes do not like to live together but are solitary.

Because of this, scientists do not know where they breed and how their young live.

It was accidentally caught in the eye of the camera.

In the coastal area of Carpinteria, California, some time ago, sharks were being filmed by drones.

Meanwhile, the filmmakers saw a small great white shark that was one and a half meters long.

Now the results of a research in this regard have been released.

According to the scientists' estimate, the newborn shark is about the same length and the whole body of the shark was seen in the picture as white.

When the video was played in slow motion, it was found that the color of the body was not white, but a white layer was falling off the body.

Carlos Guana, one of the filmmakers, said that where great white sharks are born is nothing less than a mystery.

He said that no one has been able to tell where baby sharks are born, in fact no one has ever seen a newborn great white shark.

He added that this is possibly the first photograph of a newborn great white shark.

The results of this research were published in the journal Environmental Biology of Fishes.
