 In the 20th match of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9, Islamabad United defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 29 runs.

In the match played in Rawalpindi, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam won the toss and invited Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan to bat first.

  Islamabad United scored 196 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the first play.

Islamabad captain Shadab Khan played an aggressive innings of 80 off 51 balls, scoring 4 fours and six sixes.

Aga Salman scored 37 runs while Jordan Cox and Azam Khan remained unbeaten on 26 and 29 respectively.

Saim Ayub from Peshawar Zalmi took two wickets while Salman Irshad and Luke Wood took one wicket each.

Peshawar Zalmi's 5 wickets fell 18 runs in pursuit of the 197 -run target, followed by Aamir Jamal and Walter contributing 106 runs.

Aamir Jamal scored 87 off 48 balls with 6 sixes and 8 fours, Walter scored 33 runs.

Peshawar Zalmi's team scored 167 for 9 wickets.

Islamabad's Shadab Khan took 3 wickets, Hanin Shah and Roman Reyes took 2 wickets.

Points Table situation

  In PSL 9, Islamabad United have won the third victory in the event by defeating Peshawar Zalmai, with this victory, with Peshawar Zalmai with 7 points but on the basis of a better run rate.

Multan Sultans are in the top position with 12 points and have been able to qualify for the play -off stage.

Quetta Gladiators are second with 9 points, Karachi Kings are fifth and Lahore Qalandars is the last position.
