 World marathon record holder Kenyan athlete Kelvin Kaptam died in a traffic accident.

According to a foreign news agency report, 24-year-old Kelvin Kaptam along with his coach, 36-year-old Gervais Hekizmana and another person were traveling in a car on Sunday night when the accident occurred.

Calvin and his coach Gervais lost their lives in the traffic accident while a third person survived with serious injuries.

According to reports, the accident occurred due to high speed, after the vehicle went out of control and hit a tree.

It should be noted that Calvin Kaptam was also the winner of the London Marathon.
