Saudi Arabia is preparing to open the first liquor store in the kingdom.

According to the British news agency, sources have said that the alcohol store will be opened in the diplomatic quarter of the capital Riyadh in the next few weeks.

According to the news agency, the alcohol store is being opened for foreign diplomats.

Buyers must first obtain a clearance code from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs to purchase alcohol.

The clearance code will be available through the mobile app and buyers will be given a specific monthly quota.

The British news agency says that it is not clear whether non-Muslim immigrants living in the kingdom will also benefit from this.

The Saudi government has yet to comment on the news.

It should be noted that alcohol is prohibited under Saudi law and the judge can punish the offender with public flogging for the crime of alcohol consumption.
