Climate change has raised alarm bells in the country and fears of water scarcity have been raised.

Half of the winter has passed in the country, but there has been almost no snow on the mountains. There is no sign of snow on certain mountains which are usually covered with several feet of snow in Astor and the temperature did not go beyond minus 5.


  Neelum, Lipa and Shontar valleys, where there were several feet of snow till January, till now there has been very little snow, due to lack of rains, the reservoirs started running out of water, the boiling springs also started drying up.
